Roy Moëd
Founder & CEO – LifeBook Memoirs
Roy conceived and developed LifeBook as a private autobiography service in 2010. Created as a social business to ‘move the needle’ in the way in which elder adults enjoy their lives, it is underpinned by the therapeutic benefits of telling one’s life stories. Extensive research, trials and proof-of concept testing led to the company’s launch in October 2011, and was instrumental in securing VC funding in September 2012. With over 7000 people globally having enjoyed a LifeBook, Roy is well on the way to achieving his goal.
Roy is a serial entrepreneur, having founded Pourshins Limited in 1978. Pourshins started as two partners with £4,800 and grew to over 600 staff in four factories and three countries. As the airline business evolved, Roy re-engineered Pourshins several times, divesting the manufacturing, then the warehousing and even the distribution. What resulted was a global ‘virtual’ logistics provider and BPO company of 32 people.
