Terms and Conditions
By attending a CII Group event you agree to comply with the CII’s Code of Ethics, and any breach may result in disciplinary action taken against you.
1. The CII Group reserves the right to amend or cancel this event or any booking. The CII Group accepts no liability in the event of cancellation, including for any expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.
2. Your name, job title and organisation, as provided on the booking form, will be included in the delegate pack for this event and, where applicable and in accordance with relevant Data Protection Legislation, shared with other delegates and the event sponsors for networking purposes. If you would prefer to opt out of this, please email us at pfsevents@cii.co.uk and quote your booking reference number. Please note that your contact details will not be shared with other delegates and will only be used by the PFS to contact you in relation to your booking.
3. If you have any special dietary requirements you must give us written notice at least 14 working days before the event and a supplemental charge may be payable for special dietary requests.
4. If you need to remove a delegate from your booking or cancel it completely please contact the Events team for advice using the contact details below. Please be ready to quote your CII PIN and date of booking (these items can be found in your booking confirmation email). Provided the CII Group is notified at least 48 hours prior to the event, a delegate is able to send a substitute to the event.
5. In instances where the CII Group is forced to cancel an event due to circumstances outside of the CII Group’s control, the CII Group is unable to provide a refund for that event or meet any expenses incurred associated with attending the event. If possible, the CII Group will make other arrangements or reschedule the event for a future date, however this is at the CII Group’s discretion.
6. If the CII Group is unable to move your booking to another event, location or date, the original event booking will need to be cancelled. CII Group accepts no liability for any costs or expenses incurred due to your failure to cancel the booking in time.
7. The delegate is liable for payment of any applicable fees due.
8. For the avoidance of doubt, the delegate is responsible for booking and paying for any travel required to and from the event.
9. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from the CII Group’s negligence, the CII Group shall not be liable for any special, indirect or consequential loss, or for any economic loss. In addition, the CII Group’s total liability under this Agreement is limited to the amount of the registration fee, where applicable. Furthermore, the CII Group can accept no liability for any loss suffered by any person acting or refraining from acting as a result of the material delivered during or in connection with the event.
10. The CII Group reserves the right to film and photograph its events for broadcast on our website, future advertising campaigns, social media and press releases. By booking a place for an event you confirm agreement with the CII Group that you assign to the CII Group copyright, property rights and all other rights in any filming, recording or photography of you at the event, for use in all media. If you do not consent to the CII Group filming, recording or photographing you at the event then please notify the cameraperson or photographer at the time and email pfsevents@cii.co.uk with all relevant details.
11. Your information will be held by CII Group in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws. For these purposes the CII Group are data controllers. Registrations for events are managed using a system operated by a third party under contract with the CII Group. Data, including personal data, will be processed and stored on systems managed by this third party and the CII Group. This data can only be accessed by authorised members of CII Group staff, and for the purposes of maintaining and supporting the system, by members of staff of the third party. As you have provided personal information, we need you to consent to the processing of this data. By submitting this online booking form, you are agreeing to us processing your personal data as described above and in accordance with the CII Group’s Data Privacy Notice, found at https://www.cii.co.uk/about-us/data-protection-and-privacy-statement/.
12. Acceptance by the CII Group of your booking will give rise to a legally binding contract between the CII Group and you on the Terms and Conditions as set out above governed by the laws of England and Wales. No variation will be valid unless in writing and signed by an authorised signatory of the CII Group. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
