Prior to joining PFS, Don provided strategic leadership as Interim CEO of newly formed self-regulating body, the UK Cyber Security Council, guiding the team through its “start-up” phase transforming the transitional team to full operational status.
He built the council from the ground up, securing Charitable status in the first 90 days to include working with the Privy Council to secure Chartered Status in the Councils first year. Don worked collaboratively alongside the Treasury, Cabinet Office and DCMS and supported the government consultation on long term legislation for the cyber security profession.
In his three years as Global Business Development Director at IPPF, one of the largest NGO Membership Associations, he worked across 6 global offices building and managing the most successful business development team in the Associations 60-year history, working out of London and Nairobi with a team operating out of 6 international locations he won over £320m worth of international development programmes to include developing the UK Governments flagship health programme, Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) operating across 17 countries. Prior to this, he took on the role of Interim Deputy CEO at OPM Group, a research and consultancy organisation, where he designed and implemented a business development activation plan which saw him build a new team and increase turnover by £1.8m in less than 6 months.
